Oreo cookies ‘n cream bars


Ingredients:

- 1 package (15.25 ounces) Oreo cookies, crushed

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

- 1/2 cup powdered sugar

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

- 1 cup chocolate chips

- 1/2 cup crushed Oreo cookies for topping


Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form a crust.

3. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.

4. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.

5. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cream cheese layer.

6. Sprinkle the crushed Oreo cookies on top of the chocolate layer for added texture and flavor.

7. Refrigerate the bars for at least 4 hours or until set. Once set, cut into squares and serve chilled.
