Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers 🍢🍢
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Wooden or metal skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Chicken:
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the chicken cubes to the bowl and toss until they are evenly coated with the mixture. Let the chicken marinate for at least 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator) to absorb the flavors.
2. Skewer the Chicken:
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece to ensure even cooking.
3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
4. Cook the Skewers:
- Place the chicken skewers in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the skewers for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time to ensure they cook evenly. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the outside is golden brown.
Serve:
- Remove the skewers from the air fryer and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Optionally, sprinkle with additional grated Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley for extra flavor and garnish.
Tips:
- Customization: You can add vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or cherry tomatoes to the skewers for a more colorful and nutritious dish.
- Serving Suggestions: Serve the skewers with a side of marinara sauce, ranch dressing, or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- Enjoy your Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers! They're perfect for a quick weeknight dinner or a fun appetizer for gatherings.
