Green Juice Margarita

For this drink, I paired tequila with Cocalero, an herbal spirit hailing from the Andes. If you’ve never tried Cocalero, it’s a super flavorful mixture of botanicals including ginseng, juniper, orange, and more. It really adds a lot of depth in this recipe, and is only amplified by fresh green juice, lime for a little acidity, and agave for a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients
- Sea salt and lime juice for rim
- 1 ½ oz tequila
- ¾ oz Cocalero
- 2 oz green juice
- Juice of 1 small lime
- ¼ oz agave
- Dried rose petals for garnish
- Lime wheel for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your glass with a salt rim by coating the rim with lime juice then dip in a shallow bowl filled with salt. Add all margarita ingredients to a cocktail tin with ice. Shake vigorously. Strain into your prepared glass with fresh ice. Garnish with rose petals and a lime round.
